Who can do what, and who can do everything.
I’m Jerry Meyer. For more than 15 years I have worked on identity in large organisations, including Schiphol, De Volksbank, Viterra, VU Amsterdam and PostNL.

From IGA to PAM
I come from IGA: the question of who can do what, and why. Roles, lifecycle, reviews. It is the foundation of identity, and it is where I learned that the technology is rarely the hard part.
PAM came on top of that: the question of who can do everything. Admin accounts, service accounts, the keys to the systems themselves. The two belong together. Without a solid IGA foundation PAM has nothing to stand on, and without PAM the most powerful accounts stay out of sight.
Today PAM comes first in my work, with BeyondTrust as my specialism and experience with CyberArk. IGA is the foundation, and there I work vendor-independently, with platforms such as Omada and One Identity. AI agents are the next step: a new kind of privileged identity that needs an owner, minimal rights and a log, just like a person.
Analysis, architecture, direction and lead roles.
Analysis
I start with the facts: what is in place, what works, and where it rubs. Fast, and with the people who do the work.
Architecture
One target picture and one order of priorities, written down so everyone can follow it.
Direction
I keep the course across teams, suppliers and stakeholders, from the engineers to the CISO.
Lead roles
Where needed I take the role of lead architect or programme lead for a period, until your own team carries it.
I don’t do implementation or configuration work. That stays with your engineers or your implementation partner.
Direct, clear, and aimed at your team.
Direct
You work with me. No account managers and no layers in between.
Plain language
No stacks of jargon. Decisions you can explain to your board.
Your team stronger
I work towards the moment you no longer need me.
Where I have worked.
